The Shotokan Fudokan Karate-do of Northern Virginia members train at the Onelife Fitness in Falls Church, Virginia at Baileys Crossroads. Children, ages 6 years and older, are welcome.  Training fees are separate from optional Onelife Fitness club membership fees.  Discounts apply for family participation in the karate classes.
 

Attire:  Try your first classes in long exercise pants and t-shirts.  Practice is done in your bare feet. No jewelry or chewing gum is permitted while training. When you decide to commit to our program, we recommend and will assist you to purchase a standard karate training uniform called a Gi. The Gi is required for progressive karate belt exams.

Additional fees may include:

• Colored belt exams are $30 each and usually held approximately every four months. 

• Uniforms (Gi).  We can help you purchase traditional plain white karate uniforms.

• Our club sponsors master camps two or three times a year, hosting high rank international guest Sensei.  Attendance is optional but encouraged. The locations of these events vary. These day-camps introduce our students to a diversified experience of karate training at an amazing affordable price.

• Local community competitions and events

• Membership is recommended in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) organization and FudokanUSA.  The latter membership is required for black belt testing.
